A CELEBRATION of the world of the motor car is cruising into Mansfield Museum on Saturday.
'Are we nearly there yet?' is a two-month exhibition featuring vintage motors and model cars and the event will also include world record head balancer John Evans balancing a car on his head and a Grand Prix Scalextric battle of the ages.

Taking pride of place in the museum's gallery will be a 1956 Ford Pop on loan from David Brown Vintage and Classic Restorations of Mansfield Woodhouse.

Kate Allsop, Mansfield District Council's portfolio holder for regeneration said: "As well as the historical information on show, there are lots of practical and exciting activities for the whole family to get involved in – which are free, making a trip to the museum a great day out for everyone."

Are we nearly there yet? runs until 31st May.
