MANSFIELD'S Old Library is hosting a free production of Hitting Home – the powerful and inspiring tale of a young girl and her triumph over abuse, poverty and racism - featuring Eastenders star Babita Pohoomull.
Adapted from Andrea Ashworth's acclaimed autobiography Once in a House on Fire, Babita, best known for her role as the BBC soap's Preeti, plays Andrea through her troubled childhood and her ultimate escape from that life as a young adult.

Said Babita: "The play does not only portray the still very current and complicated issue of domestic violence, but it is personal to one woman's heart-breaking and inspirational story - that in itself makes this project so challenging and, as an actor, playing the role of Andrea is everything I could hope for."

Tickets for the showings on 13th May at 1pm and 7.30pm are free from the Box Office on Mansfield 644377.
