THE LONG established Lincoln Choral Society make their first visit to The Crossing on Saturday 19th July.
Entitled 200 Years of Choral Greats, the evening is directed by Greg Wright and accompanied by Worksop Priory director of music Michael Overbury at the organ and the Society’s string quartet led by Caroline Siriwardena.
“The Society normally sing in the magnificent Lincoln Cathedral,” said David Jordan.
”But thanks to a visit to an earlier concert by a singing member they liked what The Crossing has to offer and decided to bring their summer concert over to Worksop this year.”
“The objective of Music at The Crossing is to challenge those who think the only places to go for good quality concerts are the bigger towns surrounding us so we’re progressively countering that view in our regular concerts at The Crossing”.
Tickets for the Lincoln Choral Society performance, which starts at 7.30pm, are £10, £8 and £4 for children and students.
Doors open at 6.45pm. Tickets are at The Crossing’s welcome desk or can be booked from 01909 475421 or by email to info@crossingmusic.org
