THE WORKSOP Society of Artists is getting ready to host its annual Summer Exhibition at Ryton Park primary school from Saturday 26th July through to Saturday 9th August.
There will be over 100 framed pictures in a variety of media on display, including watercolour, oil and acrylic paint, covering a wide range of subject matter from landscape and portraits to flowers, still lifes and abstract.
Most of the framed exhibits will be on sale, and there will be many mounted but unframed pictures in browsers which will also be available to buy.
Society chairman John Turner said he was looking forward to this year’s event which would be well worth a visit.
”The society is very grateful to Ryton Park primary school for the gymnasium space where the exhibition will be staged, and to Father Spicer who will open the exhibition at the preview evening on Friday 25th July,” he said.
”Money raised in a raffle of a painting on that evening will go to the Bassetlaw Hospice of the Good Shepherd.”
Exhibition times run from 10am to 4pm every day, including Sundays, and admission is free.
