Maybe it's an easy option. A cop out of sorts. Tribute bands have been around for a while now and had a real push a few years ago. Some faded away while those who had the talent to take off their heroes lasted the course and are still doing the round

Pynk Floid are one such band. A tight troop who have pretty much got Floyd down to a fine art.
Playing all the popular tracks from throughout the years to a small audience of appreciative fans of the super group at the Town Mill. A shame really as they deserved a larger crowd, espcially as it was free.
Visits to such classic albums as The Wall, Wish You Were Here and Dark Side Of The Moon were always on the cards.
Had they not been a concerned raised eyebrow would have been the least they would have expected from onlookers awaiting the likes of Another Brick In The Wall, Shine On You Crazy Diamond and Comfortably Numb. In fact, that brick may well have left the wall at high speed, stage bound had they dared to stray from expectation.
Overall a good set well done. The band concentrated on the well known material which was really a safe option but one which works well. Surely that's what a tribute act is all about. Isn't it? Some would argue that one or two obscure numbers would work and Floyd are certainly guilty of having a few of those locked away somewhere. Eh Mr Barrett . . .
As said tribute bands come and go. Some are good while others just think they are. Pynk Floid know they are and given the musicianship and passion for the band they admire they should be around for years to come. So to coin a phrase . . . shine on you crazy diamond(s).
