Maybe that's the case but does it really matter when emulating the band you choose is as close to being in their collective presence as you can get without being invited round for afternoon tea?
- Dark Side of a tribute act
Floydian Slip have been around for years now and you can see that through their experience. They've got this Pink thing down and sorted. Not only musically but visually. What can only be described as "the big bloody disc from Stargate SG1" replaces a bands normal backdrop and plays all manner of Floyd wonderfulness to a cabaret style crowd (possibly a venue thing there).
Spanning the years Slip bring the whole Floyd experience to the masses. From Mr Barrett through the classic 'Dark Side....' to 'Wish You Were Here', visiting 'The Wall' and onto 'The Division Bell'. It's all there with lasers, lights and smoke machines capturing the atmosphere perfectly.
Musically, visually and indeed vocally this band has it. They're are effectively Pink Floyd incarnate. Close your eyes and you can hear a perfect replication. The vocals are spookily good, even down to Kelly Bond who's excellent power is a mirror image of the female vocals Floyd used.
This is as close to Pink Floyd you're going to get. Well at least I think it is. For a fraction of the ticket price you'll get 100% Pink Floyd minus the obvious characters. Floydian Slip will take some beating in the Pink stakes. Won't they? I mean, 'Is there anybody out there....?'
Isn't this where....
