MANSFIELD'S own 80s star band B Movie rolled back the years at the Town Mill on Thursday . . . a Remembrance Night for a Remembrance Day!.
The band's biggest hit single - Remembrance Day - went down a storm at the Mansfield venue as B Movie and their fans remembered the early 80s . . . and when B Movie, made up of members originally from Cuckney, Shirebrook and Mansfield, so nearly hit the big time.

As lead singer Steve Hovington, pinching two fingers together, recalled on Thursday evening - 'We were that close to making it'.
B Movie - formed by four local teenagers at the end of the 70s - returned for a special one-off gig back in their home town.
And the sell-out Town Mill was an appropriate venue - just a few yards from the St Peter's Parish Hall where they first rehearsed in 1978.
The group, which disbanded in the mid 80s and then came together again last year, showed they had lost none of their stage presence as their own brand of moody, indie synth rock was given an enthusiastic reception.
Think Joy Division, John Foxx and Magazine and you have an idea of B Movie's sound, but their songs and style were - and still are - unique.
Vocalist and bass player Steve Hovington, Graham Boffey (drummer), Paul Statham (guitar) and Rick Holliday (keyboards) went through all their better known songs, including two of my favourites Marilyn Dreams and
Moles, from the original Some Bizarre album.
Around 270 people crammed into the Town Mill to rock the night away in what was almost like a Manor School reunion - the Mansfield Woodhouse school where it all began for the band - . . . and they were not disapppointed.
Of course, B Movie's classics
Nowhere Girl - which reached the top 10 in many European countries and 68 in the UK charts - and
Remembrance Day, their most commercially successful single, which made 61 in the UK top 100, went down well with the sell-out crowd.
Remembrance Day - 'In the forest, in the snow, all those many years ago' - had the crowd baying for more . . . let's hope their next Mansfield gig and a possible new CD of their favourite songs is not too far away.
B Movie were supported by another local band, Enormous (also featuring B Movie drummer Graham Boffey), led by Dave LawrenceTheir fun, poppy sound, which included a saxophone and trumpet, was full of catchy love songs - my favourites the Definite Article and I Don't Know How You Dare.
