FORMER further education minister Sion Simon, third right, meets students from West Notts College for their own version of Question Time with Sherwood MP Paddy Tipping, back left.
He paid a visit to the college to take part in an hour-long debate about the issues affecting young people.

Principal Asha Khemka said: "These types of discussions are vital to engaging young people in politics and democracy and, most importantly, giving them a voice."

During the visit, students also stressed the importance of gaining funding from the Learning and Skills Council for the college's £96m new campus.

Mr Simon was further education minister at the time of his visit but has since been appointed Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Creative Industries at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
