Footballing feelgood factor back at the Mill
IT'S been a long wait . . . but for the vast majority of Mansfield Town fans it seems like 'football is coming home'.
With apologies to the famous Three Lions song, '15 years of hurt, never stopped me dreaming'.
Dreaming of a club that treated its fans with respect, dreaming of a club that had ambition, dreaming of a club that reinvested revenue in its facilities and playing squad, dreaming of a club that wanted to engage with its fans and potential sponsors.
Controversial owner Keith Haslam has finally sold the Stags and already there is a feelgood factor at Field Mill - fans and staff at the ground with a smile on their faces, plans for fans to help spruce up the ground, an open weekend and stay-away supporters returning to buy season tickets.
