Violent attack followed car deal that went wrong
A MANSFIELD father and son who admitted a violent attack on a couple and their neighbour will be sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court.
Paul Marshall (45) and his 21-year-old son Kyle, of Middleton Court, admitted attacking the male victim at his Mansfield Woodhouse home on 7th December last year.
Kyle Marshall admitted common assault after pushing the man's girlfriend with such force that she fell into the road when she tried to stop him, Mansfield magistrates were told on Thursday.
His father also admitted a second count of assault after punching the couple's neighbour when he tried to intervene, as well as sending an intimidating text message to the female victim.
But he said another man was responsible for attacking the victim on his doorstep.
Their victim believed the attack happened because of a car deal that had gone wrong.
Kyle Marshall also admitted stealing £1,000 from a seriously ill relative in September last year. He knew the man had stored the cash in his room and following the theft used the cash to fund a holiday to Spain.
The men will appear at crown court on a date to be announced.
