A SUTTON man was caught allowing his Outram Street home to be used for the selling of drugs.
An undercover police officer making test purchases contacted a dealer and was taken to a house where Peter Shrewsbury let them in.
Prosecutor Ann McCaroll told Nottingham Crown Court that four wraps of a Class A drug were handed to the officer by the dealer.
Shrewsbury admitted permitting his premises to be used for the supply of drugs on Monday.
He had been jailed for four-and-a-half years in 1997 for possession of heroin with intent to supply, but had stayed clear of trouble since then.
The man who supplied the drugs at the house has already been jailed for three years.
Judge Dudley Bennett adjourned the case for sentencing on 6th June for McCaroll to be assessed by the substance misuse team –– but the judge warned him he may not escape an immediate prison sentence.
- KIRKBY man Aaron Dickinson appeared at Mansfield Magistrates' Court last Wednesday where he faced three charges of animal cruelty.
The 37-year-old, of Marlborough Road, is accused of failing to provide a suitable environment for a Doberman dog, failing to provide a suitable diet and failing to protect the same dog from pain, injury or disease between 12th and 15th April.
Dickinson entered no plea and the case was adjourned until 23rd May for further reports.
