HARDY DRUGS TRIAL: Defendant hospitalised because of illness
DEFENDANT Zoe Chapman has been granted temporary leave from her trial after she was taken to hospital.
Chapman is currently standing trial alongside Gary Hardy at Nottingham Crown Court and is accused of three charges of conspiracy to supply amphetamines and cannabis between 1st January 2000 and 5th January 2007.
She was taken to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre as a precaution after she became unwell and began to cough up blood.
Chapman, of Willow, Avenue, Kirkby, was treated and placed on a variety of medications to help her cope with the stresses of the trial, including sleeping tablets and anti-depressants.
The trial is continuing in her absence and she will re-appear in the dock on Friday.
