A MANSFIELD man caught with three ecstasy tablets at the town's QI nightclub was slapped with a £350 by magistrates on Friday.
Benjamin Allsop (22), of Berry Park Lea, was discovered with the drugs after staff at the Leeming Street venue stopped and searched him on 20th March.

In mitigation, Richard Davis said Allsop did not have a drug problem but had been mixing with the wrong people in the past. He said he now wanted to 'settle down with his family'.

Magistrates said they would give Allsop 'the benefit of the doubt' –– but told him to make sure he did not end up in court again.

Allsop was also ordered to pay £60 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
