A MANSFIELD man caught with a stash of drugs in a Kinder Surprise egg has been ordered to attend a rehabilitation centre for nine months.
Twenty-nine-year-old Lee Fisher, of Harrison Road, was also given a 12-month community order when he appeared at Nottingham Crown Court last Wednesday.

Fisher was caught hiding three wraps of amphetamines and three of heroin in the plastic egg when a police officer approached him on Bancroft Lane on 15th January.

He was convicted of possession of the drugs, along with illegally abstracting electricity, attempted theft and possession of a knife last month.

Judge Jonathan Teare said he had considerable sympathy for Fisher and was satisfied with imposing a community order.
