A SHIREBROOK man who broke into his ex-girlfriend's house in the early hours and woke her up wearing just his underpants has been hauled before the courts.
The woman had gone to bed at her Albert Street home in Mansfield Woodhouse at around midnight on 8th November, but was woken two hours later by the 'feeling their was someone on the bed'.

Mansfield magistrates were told on Wednesday how Kelvin Wil
son (26), of Alder Way, was sat at the bottom of the bed in just his underwear and said something like 'you wouldn't let me in'.

The woman –– who has a three-year-old daughter with Wilson –– realised he did not have a key to the property and when he told her he had come through the window, she went downstairs to check the damage.

Magistrates were told the window was smashed and had been forced open, while her mobile phone had also been broken.

At this point she became frightened for her own safety as the phone was her only means of contact and went to her neighbour's house to call the police.

When her neighbour did not answer, she tried to get back into her house but the door handle had been broken off - so she went to another neighbour's to call the police.

The court was told how officers arrived to discover Wilson asleep in a different bedroom in the house. When he was interviewed later he told officers he had only gone there to sleep.

He said he broke the mobile phone because he thought she had deliberately locked him out and knew it would annoy her.

In mitigation, Paul Carlin said the pair had now made up their differences and see each other regularly.

Wilson admitted criminal damage and was given a six-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £255 compensation and £60 costs.
