VOLUNTEERS, board members and Central Notts MIND bosses attended its annual meeting last week to raise awareness of Chad's charity for 2008 and to discuss its future.
Sixteen people attended the meeting, which involved reviewing the annual report and accounts as well as a proposal for changes to the constitution – all of which were unanimously accepted.

New trustees and a new board member were also elected to bring fresh ideas and drive Central Notts MIND forwards.

Said general manager Girish Ravat: "We had a number of people attend the meeting who were interested in becoming more involved with the charity and will therefore attend upcoming board meetings for experience before joining themselves.

"Overall it was great to see people showing interest in the organisation. Although it has been a difficult year, the coming year is already showing prospect of vast improvement.

"I would like to thank everyone involved with Central Notts MIND for making it successful."

Anybody interested in becoming a Central Notts MIND volunteer or trustee, or who would like to organise a charity event or make a donation to Central Notts MIND should contact Girish Ravat on Mansfield 658044.
