CENTRAL Notts MIND is inviting residents to a special open day at its Mansfield activity centre this week to find out more about mental health and the services on offer to those with mental health difficulties.
A number of different service providers will be present at the open day as well as staff, volunteers and current clients of Central Notts MIND –– Chad's charity for 2008.
The event, between 10am-3pm on Tuesday at the St John Street venue, will give individuals an opportunity to find out more about the charity, chat with current clients and gain advice and support from various service providers.
Girish Ravat, general manager at Central Notts MIND, told Chad: "By inviting different service providers to the open day we can work with them to find the best way to help a client.
"The day is also an opportunity for people who have not visited the activity centre before to come along and find out more about what we offer and how we can help them.
'Advice'"As well as advice, support and information on a wide range of issues there will also be refreshments and a free raffle at the event."
Any women interested in finding out more about the charity can also call in at the charity's Sutton Woman's Group open day, which is being held on 24th November at Sutton Library.
Current members of the group will be at the event, which will take place between 10am-1pm at the Devonshire Square venue, to explain more about what the group does and how they benefit from it.
The women's group is a self-help organisation that meets to discuss issues and support one another as well as organising days out and activities.
