Working with other groups not only benefits the charity, but it also helps Dial's customers, who are offered an even wider range of services.
One of the groups Dial has been working with is the Positive Patients Support Group, which aims to help anyone struggling to deal with long-term health conditions and their carers.
The group — which recently celebrated its second anniversary — arranges a large number of social activities, ranging from trips to the country to nights at the theatre.
Another important focus for the group is promoting healthy eating and exercise. Chairman Sonia Lapinski said members are even offered alternative therapies and the chance to develop life skills.
'Impact'Said Sonia: "The life skills is something we're very keen to promote and they have a big impact on people. They focus on things like being more assertive and they really do seem to help.
"We see people moving on and members seem to enjoy it. It's quite serious, but it's still lots of fun."
Other activities arranged by the group include talks and seminars, and members are encouraged to pursue extended learning.
The group currently has just under 50 members but, thanks to constant growth in membership, the committee has been forced to look for a larger venue for meetings.
Said Dial's Kevin Robson: "Dial and the PPSG have helped each other by directing people to the services available at each of the organisations.
"At the second year anniversary many other organisations and supporters of the group were able to network and enjoy the celebrations of the day."
