CENTRAL Midlands League Supreme Division Forest Town Football Club's application to join the Notts Senior League for the season 2010-11 has been accepted by the league's management committee.
Under FA proposals, The NSL is likely to receive step seven status alongside the CML but with much less travelling.

Press officer Peter Craggs said "There is a definite buzz around the club and everybody is looking forward to the challenge.

"
We are keen to visit new grounds and meet plenty of new friends while also renewing some old friendships."

Commenting on Forest Town's move, NSL Chairman Kevin Presland said: "We're obviously delighted. They are an excellent club with high standards both on and off the field. Their superb Clipstone Road ground will further increase the overall standard of facilities in the NSL and on the field, their record speaks for itself."

Forest Town will also be taking their reserve side into the NSL and their arrival means the NSL will have no fewer than 11 floodlit grounds in the league as it nears the end of its sixth season.

Presland added: "Many NSL people really miss the games that used to take part in the north of the county in the Notts Alliance days and the arrival of Forest Town, added to the presence in the NSL of Sandhurst will make this possible once more."

Emeka Ndwadike broke Forest Town hearts last Thursday when he grabbed the only goal of their semi-final on 86 minutes to send favourites Eastwood Town into the Notts Senior Cup final for the seventh time on the trot.
