THE site of an historic mansion in Pleasley Vale is expected to reach a price of up to £100,000 when it is auctioned this week.
Vale House was constructed as the grand residence for the owner of Pleasley Vale Mills, which played a significant role in the history of the textile industry.

Savills auctioneers will act on behalf of Bolsover District Council and development team leader Chris Wright says the property has already attracted interest from several parties.

"The former grandeur of the property and its location offer multiple opportunities for development from a purchaser or developer with vision, subject to the necessary planning approval," he said.

"Interest has come from far and wide and includes suggested potential use for a range of business and leisure options or even the possibility of restoring the property to its former glory as a grand private residence."

Vale House is to be offered for sale in the next Savills auction on Friday with a guide price of £90,000 to £100,000.
