THREE Nottinghamshire companies have been given prestigious Royal awards for outstanding achievements in business.
4fx Healthcare, based in Mansfield, won the Queen's Award for Business in the Innovation category for their product despite having only three employees.

The Baby nose-clear Nasal Aspirator helps to ease congestion in babies, who should not be given any medication in their first three months, allowing them to sleep comfortably.

Other winners included Kirkby-based company Romo Ltd, who won an award for their fabric and wallpaper design business, which has seen great success in international markets, with sales increasing 125 per cent over the last six years.

Oneclick Technologies Ltd, an Annesly company, also picked up a prize for their invention, a multi-socket mains adapter which automatically switches off unused devices such as printers and scanners when a computer is shut down.

John Hutton, Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform, said: "We want more new and growing businesses in the UK and more companies and people acting on their enterprising ideas - and these outstanding Award-winners are all great examples of that."
