THE former Speeds Garage in Mansfield could be home to a new development boasting 41 apartments and office space.
Mansfield District Council's Planning Committee is expected to give the green light on Monday to plans by a Mr S. Nettleship to build one and two-bedroomed apartments and 1,530sqm of offices at the Nottingham Road site.

The proposals have come under fire from some firms in the area who say the development would be too large –– but planners say there would be no significant harm caused to neighbouring commercial buildings.

If the scheme is given the green light, the site will be made up of two buildings –– both of which would combine office and residential accommodation, with one being three storeys high, and the other six storeys high with basement parking.
