  • Miners 'comp' solicitors face a new probe

The pair deny 11 allegations, including alleged improper arrangements set up with the Mansfield-based Union of Democratic Mineworkers, but if found guilty, they could be struck off, suspended, fined or reprimanded.

The hearing was due to finish last week but due to the complexity of the case, another two days have been scheduled from 10th December and the verdict may be reserved until a later date.
