MANSFIELD'S leading firms were recognised for their achievements at the Mansfield 2020 Spring Ball and Business Awards on Saturday –– which has been hailed a huge success by organisers.
More than 260 people from the area's business community attended the black tie event at the John Fretwell Sporting Complex in Sookholme.

Said Mansfield 2020 chairman Irvin Robinson: "The evening provided a fabulous opportunity to celebrate successes within the business fraternity and highlighted the value of working together for the benefit of our community."

The winner of the Chad-sponsored charity and community award was The Advocacy Alliance, which works with vulnerable adults with mental health needs and learning difficulties.

Winners of the other awards were:

  • Innovation Award — ProNet Computers

  • Business Person of the Year — Nick Cooper of ProNet Computers

  • Business of the Year — Fresh Marketing Solutions Limited

And a special Outstanding Commitment to Mansfield award was presented to Ian Linney, deputy chairman of W&J Linney, for his work in raising the profile of the town over many years.

Pictured at the event are shortlisted finalists for the award and Mansfield 2020 operations manager Sam Saunders, third left, and chairman Irvin Robinson, far right.
