MANSFIELD tourist attraction the Making it! Discovery Centre is launching the 'Six Steps to Successful Sponsorship' initiative to celebrate its sixth anniversary.
The idea gives local and national businesses the opportunity to back the charity - which received a £1.8m lottery grant when it originally opened - with a variety of sponsorship options available.

Making it! chief executive Sue Walters said: "Our discovery centre fulfils the educational curriculum requirements for primary children, but sadly many schools struggle to raise the funding for the curriculum enhancing activity.

"As a registered charity we try to offer discounted or free entry to children in disadvantaged areas. The transport cost is often the biggest barrier and we would love to raise sufficient funds to buy our own bus."

For more information contact Sue on Mansfield 473200 or e-mail sue@makingit.org.uk.
