PUPILS from Mansfield's Newgate Lane Primary School join Making It! Discovery Centre chief executive Sue Walters and district council chairman Barry Answer in launching the Littleworth centre's 'Six Steps to Successful Sponsorship' campaign.
The new campaign, which as launched in a blaze of publicity to coincide with the centre's sixth birthday, encourages businesses and individuals from across the area to support the centre by contributing sponsorship pledges.

Says Sue: "Many children do often go on to future careers in building, construction, design and technology due to their experience and taste of these industries at the Making It! Discovery Centre.

"Sadly, many schools can no longer afford the curriculum enhancing activity and as a registered charity we try to offer discounted or free entry to children in disadvantaged areas.

"However, we recognise that sponsorship has to be returned both in investment and opportunity so we have created a variety of sponsorship options to suit various budgets, 'Six Steps to Successful Sponsorship' –– whether £6-£60,000. Every pound counts".

To make a sponsorship pledge or for more information contact Sue Walters on 473200 or email sue@makingit.org.uk.
