THRIVING Sutton sports lighting firm Abacus has this week purchased new land to expand their existing business presence in Shanghai.
The Oddicroft Lane company purchased 20,000 square metres of land on the Fengpu Industrial Park, where they have operated since 1995, and will use the land to build a new and improved factory on the site.

Managing Director Geoff Hall told Chad: "In the beginning, the land and factory was adequate and well equipped. However, business has grown so quickly that it has become an urgent necessity to purchase some land and build a new factory.

'Urgent'

"We intend to introduce new products and new equipment and so there is an urgent need for larger premises.

"The new premises will be located within a reasonable distance from our present factory.

"One of our main concerns was to retain our workforce by not moving too far away and, luckily, this seems to have been achieved."

Abacus hope to start construction of the new premises by the end of 2008 with a view to completion by mid to late 2009.

This should tell you all you need to know about the state of our economy. Over and over again we are seeing British companies moving abroad, where the (slave) labour is cheaper.
I feel sorry for those who bought a house within the last 4 years, having a mortgage that's worth more than your house has gotta hurt....

IMF documents state that this is all being done by design. Why?? Do your research and find out..

The worse thing is, there's no end in sight !!
