Jobs safe at Atkins in Mansfield

A TEAM of designers based in Mansfield have kept their jobs despite a restructuring exercise by multi-national architecture firm Atkins.
Contrary to some media reports, members of the team at Atkins' Oak Tree Lane office were not involved in a move which saw 51 jobs shed nationally.
A spokesman said the restructuring had been planned before the recent downturn in the economy and would allow the firm to compete for more national projects.
