TWO local builders have been named among the East region's best site managers for building the highest quality new homes in the National House-Building Council (NHBC) annual Pride in the Job (PIJ) Awards.
Mick Rogers, of Barratt East Midlands, based at Frairs Park, Mansfield Road in Edwinstowe and Vic Young, of Miler Homes Yorkshire, at Beacon Court, Newark Road in Ollerton were among 77 building site managers who made it through the year long judging process to receive a PIJ Award - the highest accolade a site manager can receive in the new house-building industry.

As well as undergoing spot checks on the day-to day running of the sites, each site manager was assessed across 38 areas of site management, including their technical knowledge, consistency in the build process and the quality controls they have in place.
