DIRECTOR of Welbeck Farm Shop Michael Boyle is all smiles as he celebrates a year of business and the success of new cheese Stichelton.
To mark the business' first anniversary and British Cheese Week, shoppers were invited to the shop to sample the cheese –– which has been described as 'the rising star of the British cheeseboard'.

Stichelton is made in a dairy based on the Welbeck Estate and has already wowed top food critics, including the Mail on Sunday's Tom Parker-Bowles and celebrity chef Rick Stein.

Earlier this month, cheesemaker Joe Schneider gave talks explaining the careful processes involved in creating his acclaimed new cheese and visitors had the opportunity to taste and compare Stichelton to other cheeses.

Said Michael: "The Welbeck Farm Shop's mission is to sell the best produce from the estate first and then from producers within a 30-mile radius.

"It has fabulous food choices, from the freshest vegetables to innovative ready meals and from home-made jams and pickles, to tasty pies and pastries.

"Selling foods in season is also our policy, giving gourmet shoppers and keen cooks alike a true taste of the Nottinghamshire countryside."
