A SUTTON woman has been cleared of manslaughter in the case of an elderly man who died after a brick was thrown through his window following a car parking row.
Zoe Forbes (26) was found not guilty by a jury at Nottingham Crown Court on the directions of the Judge Mrs Justice Macure.
She told the jurors: "There is insufficient evidence for you to consider."
The jury was also directed to clear Zoe Forbes of damaging 79-year-old Bernard Gilbert's window at his home in Spondon.
Forbes, formerly of Kedleston Close, Ripley, and now of Mapplewells Road, Sutton, has admitted conspiracy to damage Mr Gilbert's car and was bailed to await sentencing on that.
Her husband Mark Forbes (40) and his half-brother Steven Forbes (22), of Gladstone Street, South Normanton, both deny manslaughter and their trial continues.
Mr Gilbert died of a heart attack shortly after the brick came through his window, the court was told.
He and Zoe Forbes had been involved in a confrontation over a parking space at Asda in Spondon.
