SUTTON dog owner Alison Williams celebrates with her much-loved pet Lucy after winning a national competition.
Lucy captured the hearts of judges in the Vetzyme Top Dog of the Year Award, a nationwide competition launched by Seven Seas Pet and Animal Health Care.

Said Alison: "Lucy is very special and the special qualities rub off on everyone she meets.

"Lucy found me one night after heartless people had severely beaten her and then dumped her on a busy road where she was run over by oncoming traffic.

"She must have been in terrible pain when I carried her off the road but she never attempted to bite or even growl.

"Thankfully Lucy went on to make a full recovery and I was blessed with the most gentle, loving dog as my companion."

Alison, who is pictured with Debbie Harness from Seven Seas, and Lucy won the Vetzyme Top Dog of the Year trophy, £500 of holiday vouchers and a selection of healthcare products.
