A COMPETITION aiming to raise hundreds of pounds for local charities has been launched by Sutton Rotary Club.
Entrants in the 'In at the Deep End' competition, which is launched today, will have to guess how many minutes it took to fill the pool at the new leisure complex on The Lammas.
Charities being supported are CHAT, Spartans Boxing Club, Eastside Senior Youth Club and Homestart, which all help underprivileged areas of the Sutton community.
Tickets, which will be sold at the Ashfield Show on 9th August and Idlewells on 6th and 20th September, cost £1 with a first prize of a £1,000 holiday voucher, a second prize of £750 cash and £250 cash for third prize.
Rotarian Phil Bustin told Chad: "This is just an idea that came up out of the blue, but we think we are on to a winner. This is a really good competition and should help us to raise a lot of money for some very good local charities."
The competition will close on 30th September with winners announced on 7th October.
