A NEW environmentally-friendly website which aims to reduce landfill waste across Ashfield has been launched.
The Ashfield Freecycle organisation gives residents the chance to give away a variety of unwanted items such as toys, furniture and carpets for free to prevent the goods from being dumped in landfill sites.

The not-for-profit group is part of The Freecycle Network, a non-profit organisation for people interested in keeping items out of the ground.

Project organiser Emma Nathan, of Ashcourt Gardens, Sutton, told Chad: "If you have anything you want to get rid of then this is the best way to do it. We will be able to reduce what goes into landfill sites. All the items on the website are posted for free. "
