NUISANCE motorcyclists in Annesley are to be targeted by police as part of a new crackdown which could see riders arrested and their machines seized.
The new drive to clamp down on riders who have been blighting the lives of villagers by riding irresponsibly along footpaths, as well as motorcyclists without tax, licence or insurance, comes after a meeting between residents and police at the Annesley Safer Neighbourhood Committee.

Said Pc Jan Dickson: "They are a danger to themselves and pedestrians. Some of them have been riding over Hollinwell Golf Club along footpaths and this is dangerous.

"If residents see illegal motorcyclists, they should report them to the police especially if they have a registration number."

To report a problem contact Pc Dickson on Mansfield 420999 ext. 3762.
