KIRKBY man Paul Millward has been cleared by a jury at Leicester Crown Court of the attempted murder of his former boss.
The 53-year-old gardener, of Central Avenue, had been accused of trying to kill David Carter at his Roderick Avenue home on 6th September last year following a dispute over a debt.

Millward had previously admitted possessing a firearm and wounding with intent –– but had always maintained that he did not intend to kill him when he shot Mr Carter in the arm and hand.

He will appear at Leicester Crown Court on 30th May when he will be sentenced.
