KIRKBY pensioner Charles Taylor died as a result of working with asbestos, an inquest was told.
The 74-year-old, of Vernon Road, died on 29th February at Ashfield Community Hospital from a malignant mesothelioma.

The inquest was told that the retired joiner had been exposed to asbestos all his working life and had lifted it and cut sheets of it with no protection.

Returning a verdict of death from industrial disease on 11th March, Nottinghamshire coroner Dr Nigel Chapman offered his sympathy to Mr Taylor's family.
