MANSFIELD double Olympic gold medalist Rebecca Adlington - a self-confessed shoe-holic - will receive free shoes for life from the East Midlands Designer Outlet.
The South Normanton centre is also renaming its main square 'Adlington Square' in her honour, it was announced on Tuesday.

The swimmer is receiving a special gold pair of Jimmy Choo shoes from Mansfield mayor Tony Egginton on Tuesday and has been promised a pair of her favourite Christian Louboutin shoes by her parents.

Shaun Rhodes, marketing manager for East Midlands Designer Outlet, said: "We hope that this is an honour that Rebecca will really appreciate.

"We're using our contacts with leading luxury brands across Europe to put together a shoe lover's dream that may even rival her two gold medals."
