ALL Saints Church at Annesley is gearing up to mark the centenary of its re-opening with a series of events.
The church was severely damaged by fire in January 1907 and after restoration, which cost £4,750, it was finally re-opened in February 1909.

Now in its centenary year, the church will be holding a Flower Festival on 26th and 27th June between 10am and 6pm and on 28th June from 10am until 6pm, followed by a service at 7pm.

There will be stalls and refreshments in the church hall, as well as a 52 Key Marenghi Dutch Street Organ built in 1911 which will provide entertainment.

There will also be 17 flower arrangements, each depicting New Beginnings — the theme of the festival and 18 pew ends will be dedicated by individuals to loved ones.

In addition, there will be a celebratory garden party in the grounds of

Felley Priory on 15th August from 3pm until 5pm and there will be a concert by the Bluecoat singers at All Saints Church on 26th September from 7pm based on songs from the shows.

The church is open to visitors every Wednesday afternoon from 1.30pm until 3pm.
