WEST Notts College bosses have chosen the construction firm to build their all-new £96m flagship development.
They have selected Bowmer & Kirkland, based near Belper, to carry out the major project to build the state-of-the-art new college at land south of Cauldwell Road.

It is hoped construction work will begin early in the New Year, subject to West Notts gaining detailed planning permission and final funding approval from the Learning and Skills Council.

Said Bowmer & Kirkland's construction director Paul Lomas: "This iconic building will provide the college with a state-of-the-art facility enabling it to continue to provide first class further education in Mansfield.

"Situated at the gateway to Mansfield, the building will make a very significant contribution to the regeneration of the area and we are delighted to have been appointed as main contractor."

The company has been involved in creating a wide range of educational buildings, including the refurbishment of the Grade II listed Roundhouse in Derby as a new campus for Derby College.
