SUTTON Town's friendly at Awsworth Villa on Saturday was brought to a premature end at half time by the news of the tragic death of one of the Notts Senior League side's players.
The Snipes had led 1-0 at the break when Luke Shiels headed home a corner just after the half-hour mark.

But when news came through of the death of one of the absent Awsworth players, the home side were understandably unable to continue.
