Charlotte Bramley (13) and Nina Howells (14) from the Skegby Royal British Legion Judo Club came back with medals from the North of England Open Junior Championships on Sunday.
Charlotte gained a silver medalin the Under 52kg and Nina picked up a bronze in the Under 57kg.

The competition standard was very high, including a number of young England and Scotland internationals, and club coach Steve Wilkins was delighted with the girls’ achievements at the weekend.

If anyone is interested in trying or even seeing what Judo is like, they can contact Steve on 0115 952 1346.

The Skegby club meets at the British Legion on Thursdays 6-7.30pm.

Newcomers in the Hucknall area can also come along to the Edgewood Primary School complex on Mondays 6-7pm to become involved.
