Shoulder injury rules Wilson out

Oliver Wilson withdrew at the last minute from the European Open this week at the London Club last week suffering from tendonitis in his shoulder
He will spend the next week resting the injury hoping for as recovery in time for The Barclays Scottish Open and Loch Lomond next week followed a week later by the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.
He will be looking for a couple of good finishes in those two events to be sure of a place in the World Golf Championships, Bridgestone Invitational, at the Firestone Country Club at the end of the month, which is followed a week by The US PGA Championship at Oakland Hill.
Good results in these four tournaments would cement his place in the European Team for this year’s Ryder Cup in September.
Greg Owen also has a week off as the Nationwide Tour takes a break before returning for the Nationwide Tour Players Cup in mid July.
Coxmoor’s Lady Captain’s Day competition, an Am/Am Walz, was won by Judy Hill, Louise Hunt and Sally Friend with a nett 133, two ahead of runners-up Pam Jordan, Judy Parker, Sue Colley and Linda Jackson who took second on the back nine from the team of Mildred Aimson, Pauline Bradford, Jayne LLewelyn and Mavis Florin.
