A 38-YEAR-OLD woman who had suffered a breakdown was found hanged at her mother's South Normanton home.
An inquest was told on Friday that Jennifer Clarke, formerly of Sutton, had a mental breakdown last October and received treatment at the Millbrook unit at King's Mill Hospital.

Ms Clarke, who had worked as a sales representative, was staying at her mother's home in Poplar Road, South Normanton, when she died on 22nd April.

Her step-father told police she sat in her car for a while at 10am that day, but returned inside after her mother went out to talk to her.

Pc Damian Lowe told the Chesterfield inquest that her mother and step-father went out separately that afternoon and returned home at 10.30pm.

"They saw her car parked outside the address with the window down. He went to close the window and her mother went inside the property and found her hanging," said Pc Lowe.

Pathologist Dr Roger Start gave the cause of death as hanging. Post-mortem tests found no evidence of drink or drugs in her body.

North Derbyshire coroner Tom Kelly recorded a verdict of death from self-administered hanging on Ms Clarke, of Grange Road, Pilsley, near Clay Cross.
