ALFRETON'S Christ the King Catholic Primary School has seen its school grounds transformed thanks to 80 willing volunteers from E.ON's Business Services Finance team.
Up to 18 employees each day got stuck into a variety of tasks, including weeding, trimming and laying slabs, as well as refurbishing a pond during the week-long challenge.

E.ON's Chris Brown organised the project after receiving a letter from the school's Year's Six council and says the week was a huge success.

"All the team were brilliant and pulled together to achieve the challenge in the time available," he said.

"It's great to know that we were able to create an area that the kids can use for their environmental studies."
