THREE people have been arrested after a substantial number of cannabis plants were discovered in a drugs raid.
A 40-year-old man from Somercotes, a 27-year-old woman from Alfreton and a 45-year-old man from Alfreton were arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis after the raid at a property on Chesterfield Road, New Houghton.

All three have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Det Insp Jeff Badmin told Chad: "We are keen to hear from local residents who may have seen vehicles or people visiting this property in the last six months.

"Someone may have information which they think is trivial, but it could be vital to the investigation."
