Blyth are seeking a first league win in five games having picked up just one point out of the last 12.

Spartans arrive 11 places and 13 points behind the Reds with one game in hand.

They have won just twice and drawn five times from 14 games on the road this season, picking up only 11 of their 38 points total on the road.

However, the Northumberland club have a very good record both home and away against the Reds over the years and despite their 14th place position, they have the league's joint leading goalscorer in Paul Brayson who has hit 19 so far.

Ian Graham has ten and the highly-rated Robbie Dale, always a thorn in Alfreton's side - is on eight.

Indeed, it was a brace of goals from Dale which gained the points for Blyth at Croft Park when the Reds went down 2-0 back on October 3 in wind-lashed, almost farcical conditions.
