ALFRETON Town will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they entertain Blyth Spartans in the Blue Square North at the Impact Arena on Saturday.
Blyth are seeking a first league win in five games having picked up just one point out of the last 12.

Spartans arrive 11 places and 13 points behind the Reds with one game in hand.

They have won just twice and drawn five times from 14 games on
the road this season, picking up only 11 of their 38 points total on the road.

However, the Northumberland club have a very good record both home and away against the Reds over the years and despite their 14th place position, they have the league's joint leading goalscorer in Paul Brayson who has hit 19 so far.

Ian Graham has ten and the highly-rated Robbie Dale, always a thorn in Alfreton's side - is on eight.

Indeed, it was a brace of goals from Dale which gained the points for Blyth at Croft Park when the Reds went down 2-0 back on October 3 in wind-lashed, almost farcical conditions.

By comparison, Liam Hearn has 14, Paul Clayton 13, Anthony Howell 9 and Andy Todd 7.

Blyth's two away wins were at Stalybridge Celtic (1-0) and Hyde United (3-0).

They have shared the spoils at Stafford Rangers (1-1), Redditch United (2-2), Solihull Moors (1-1), Vauxhall Motors (1-1) and AFC Telford United (1-1) on the opening day of the season.

Defeats have been suffered at Ilkeston Town last Saturday (1-2), Workington (1-3), Southport (2-3), Fleetwood Town (2-4), Northwich Victoria (1-5), Gloucester City (1-3), and Eastwood Town (2-4).

Alfreton will be full-strength for the game. Manager Nicky Law has no injury or suspension worries whatsoever as he welcomes back captain Chris Shaw from a one-game suspension.

The Reds had their 11-game unbeaten run ended last Saturday, but they have won their last four in a row at the Impact Arena and are unbeaten in their last six on home soil.

With this the first of only four home outings from nine remaining league games to the end of the campaign, and with only three wins being recorded away all season so far, three points are almost an absolute must from this game.
