Testing
heathland championship course set in the Robin Hood Hills was
designed by the Willie Park junior at the turn of the century
and takes its name "Hollinwell" from a famous spring
at the eighth tee.

Considered
one of the finest inland
courses
in the country and the scene of many great championship events.
Hollinwell in always found in the finest of condition.
After
a comfortable opening few holes you reach the eighth and you
are faced with a daunting tee shot over a tree lined lake, with
not much margin for error, from there on in Hollinwell does
not give much away.
The
fifteenth one on the prettiest holes on the course, a good drive
leaves an intimidating second shot into a narrow tree lined
valley with a tight entrance to the green and finally the 18th
a long par five down to the club house complete your round
