PROMOTION-chasing Rainworth will be looking to move three points closer to the NCEL Premier Division when they take on Tadcaster Albion on Saturday.
The high-flying Wrens have won eight of their last 10 games and currently sit in second place of NCEL Division One with three games to go.

And Rainworth will now be hoping to continue their fantastic form to claim a maximum nine points from their
remaining matches to shake off nearest rivals Bottesford Town and Hall Road Rangers.

Boss Rudy Funk told Chad: "We have got three games to go and three wins will give us second place. This is a good league and they are three very difficult games, but we are in good form and if we continue to work hard then I don't think we will go wrong.

"Teams that get promoted and win championships are teams that can win the big games and keep their nerve in the run-in, and that is what we have got to do.

"The players have been tremendous this season and deserve all the glory that will come with promotion. We need to keep working hard in every game and playing right to the final whistle."

And Funk is confident that the Wrens can hit the ground running and overcome mid-table Tadcaster to move one step closer to the Premier Division.

"Tadcaster is a hard place to go and they are a decent team. Their league position does not do them justice and I think they are better than that,"said Funk.

"We will go into the game full of confidence and going there to win. We are just three games away from guarenteeing second place and that is all the incentive we need."
