And Chad photographer Anne Shelley was full of praise for Daniel's unusual photo.

Said Anne: "We liked this shot from Daniel. The bright colours evoke the summer festival season, and he hasn't been frightened to be a bit different.
"The composition is good, the shot is well exposed and in focus. Well done Daniel."

As part of the competition Chad has teamed up with The Vector Studio, which is based at 81 Fackley Way, Sutton, to offer our lucky winner a fantastic framed 40 x 30 inch canvas picture of their winning image worth £110.

The runner up will receive a 28 x 20 inch framed picture worth £70, while a 20 x 16 inch framed picture is on offer to our third placed entrant.

The Vector Studio is a 'photo onto canvas' specialist and supplies to photographers worldwide. For more information www.thevectorstudio.co.uk
Entries do not have to have been taken in our area, but must have a summer-related theme and include your name, age, where you are from and information about the picture.

So to be in with a chance of winning our superb prize, simply email your images to photocomp@chad.co.uk.

Our Chief Photographer Roger Grayson will then choose our winner from a shortlist of 10, with the winner being announced in the Chad on 8th September.
